1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a site leaves on your device so it can remember something between visits - like the fact you already answered the consent banner. It can't read anything else on your device and can't run programs.

2. Your choice

The first time you land here, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen. Choosing "Reject non-essential" loads only the strictly necessary storage - nothing analytical runs, and the site works exactly the same either way. Choosing "Accept all" also allows aggregated analytics. Whichever you pick is remembered for 12 months.

3. Cookies this site uses

NameTypePurposeDuration
ugr_consentStrictly necessaryRemembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies12 months
ugr_consent_atStrictly necessaryRecords when that choice was made12 months
Analytics identifierOptional - analyticsCounts page views and referrers in aggregate, only set after "Accept all"14 months
Operator tracking cookiesThird partySet by an operator once you click through to it - governed by their policy, not oursVaries

4. What we deliberately don't use

  • No advertising or retargeting pixels
  • No social media tracking widgets
  • No fingerprinting or cross-site profiling
  • No cookie used to identify you personally

5. Managing cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies through your browser's own settings - in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari that's under Settings → Privacy. Blocking the strictly-necessary storage just means the consent banner shows up again on every visit, since that's the record of your choice.

6. Links to other sites

Once you follow a link to an operator, that operator sets its own cookies the moment its page loads. We don't control those - check the operator's own cookie notice for detail.
